The Maastricht Region's hilly surroundings make it ideally suited for many sporting activities. For the adventurous at heart, a variety of additional activities are available.
If you're looking for arts and culture, the Maastricht Region is definitely the place to be: an area with a long and very rich cultural history. Theater, music and dance performances can be seen at the city's theaters or music halls.
A simple fact says it all: eight Michelin stars have been awarded in a region no larger than 20 x 20 kilometers. Countless bistros, cafes, lounges and other small restaurants in the region live up to every taste and budget.

If someone had predicted me 25 years ago that one day I would be living in the Netherlands and belong to a women's club, I am pretty sure I would have shaken my head and laughed the thought away in disbelief: “Me? Oh no… I don’t think so...”
