Summer Festival

Twenty years of Cultura Nova. Cultura Nova started as a successor to Kultuur Avontuur, as an answer to a culturally quiet summer. It was characterised by a surprising and regionally rejuvenating international programme that played at special locations. It served as an initial introduction to local theatre. A lot has changed in twenty years. And yet one thing has not changed in these twenty years; the passion with which the creators and our artistic partners bring this festival about.

We present the programme to you with pride. It contains ten (Dutch) premieres together with our cultural partners in the city and Euregion. It is a collaboration that just keeps delivering ever more beautiful cultural pearls like the programme surrounding the John Cage exhibition co-presented with SCHUNCK* or the collaboration with Parkstad Limburg Theaters, with whom we managed to bring Cirque Plume's newest work to Heerlen.
